Uptime

Why Uptime Exists

For more than 15 years, Uptime has helped small and midsized businesses across the Greater St. Louis Area manage technology with greater clarity and accountability. Led by President Ben Maschan, our team understands how disruptive recurring problems, slow responses, and unclear invoices can become. Those frustrations shaped a practical, business-focused approach to IT.

We built our model around problems business leaders know too well:
• Issues that return because the underlying cause was never addressed
• Employees waiting for help while productivity slips
• Technology decisions made without a clear business plan
• Unexpected labor charges when support takes longer than expected

Uptime serves as a complete Managed IT Department, bringing support, planning, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and vendor coordination together under one accountable team. Managed services are provided for one predictable monthly price, while hardware, software, licenses, and other direct third-party costs remain separate. This structure keeps our attention on preventing disruption and solving problems instead of generating billable hours.

Uptime is a disabled veteran-owned business and a member of The 20. In 2026, Uptime Networks and Ben Maschan were named finalists in The 20’s inaugural Leader in Managed IT Awards. These distinctions reflect the disciplined leadership and service continuity behind the way we support local organizations.

How We Work

Our operating principles keep technology decisions practical, understandable, and aligned with the business.

Take Responsibility

Clients should know who is accountable for their technology. We coordinate support, planning, security, infrastructure, and vendors as one managed function.

Communicate Clearly

Technology decisions should make sense without unnecessary jargon. We explain risks, options, and recommendations in business terms so leaders can act with confidence.

Prevent Before Reacting

Support matters when something breaks, but prevention matters every day. Monitoring, maintenance, documentation, and planning help reduce avoidable disruption and recurring issues.

Recommend What the Business Needs

Our guidance starts with business priorities, operational risk, and practical value. The goal is a technology environment that supports employees and remains manageable as the organization changes.
